Watch Service Tips and Information

Q:

How often should I have my watch serviced?

We recommend to service your watch when it changes timing behavior or when you notice any issues. It is ideal to check your watch for dust and watertightness periodically. However, a complete service is not necessary for good quality jeweled watches which have remained water and dust tight for 2 - 5 years. Again, mechanical watches should be serviced when they change their timing behavior which will probably be in 2-5 years.
Q:

What is overhaul ?

Watch overhaul service includes the complete disassembly of mechanical watch movement parts, watch case and bracelet. The case and bracelet are cleaned in ultrasonic, machine buffed, brush clean by hand and machine dried. All worn or rusty movement parts are serviced with genuine, highest quality OEM or non-OEM parts to guarantee our services. The movement parts are ultrasonically cleaned, hand brushed, machine cleaned again, reassembled, and oiled. The movement is electronically calibrated and placed into the case. The watch movement with case is pressure tested and serviced. The watch is on a rotating wheel for 2 days to test Time and is adjusted to ensure accuracy.
Q:

What is a Quartz Movement Conversion?

If your old manual winding watch can't be fixed, a replacement of manual movement to a quartz movement can be an excellent choice. Many old winding watch parts are no longer available, or can be very expensive. In addition, old watch movements are not keeping accurate time as a quartz movement. With a quartz movement upgrade, your watch looks the same, and runs with battery changes instead of winding.
